Frequently asked questions.

How Does the tattoo removal process work?

Tattoo removal lasers use different wavelengths to fragment tattoo pigment into smaller pieces that allow the body’s white blood cells to engulf them for drainage via the lymphatic system. Black Chariot uses Picoway® technology, which operates on picosecond pulse durations, resulting in the pigment being fragmented into smaller particles than that of commonly used Q-switched technology. Picosecond technology allows for effective tattoo fading and removal without damaging the surrounding tissue, and can safely treat tattoos on dark skin tones.

How much does laser tattoo removal cost?

Tattoo removal treatments cost varies depending on the size of the tattoo. Small tattoos start as low as $150/treatment. Each tattoo is different and will vary in cost depending on the complexity and size. Reach out to us today for a FREE consultation and estimate for your removal. Each appointment requires a $50 deposit. Preferred method of payment is cash, but we are also able to accept credit/debit card or Venmo.

How many treatments will I need?

There are many factors that go into how long tattoo removal takes- your immune system, lifestyle, pigment density, depth, location, etc. On average it takes between 8-10 sessions to achieve removal, and as few as 2-6 for fading to cover up. However, every tattoo is unique and depending on what you’d like to achieve, some may require more sessions or less sessions. We will evaluate your tattoo during the consultation and provide a specialized plan for your needs. Treatments are scheduled 6-8 weeks apart.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you need to cancel your appointment, we require 24 hours notice for the deposit to be transferred toward the next rescheduled appointment. Otherwise, the deposit is non refunded.

What should I do to prepare for my appointment?

Prior to your appointment it is recommended to avoid alcohol and drugs, eat at least 4 hours prior and drink plenty of water. Wash the skin and wear loose clothing to allow for easy access to the location and comfort for you after the treatment. Prior to your appointment, it is vital to avoid sun exposure for 4 weeks.
